The ongoing demonstrations on Black Lives Matter, systemic racism, and police violence have shed light on the idea of defunding the police.  In an effort to educate Lisgar students and to raise awareness about this frequently discussed topic, Lisgar hosted a virtual town hall Wednesday, October 14, 2020 to discuss defunding the police.

Guest speakers included activists and prominent community leaders such as Hailey Dash, Grace Ayoo, Maya Basudde, and Phil Gurski.
