Connect with your community

All students in Ontario must complete a minimum of 40 hours of community involvement as part of secondary school diploma requirements.  You can get a head start the summer before you enter grade 9.

To find out more, you can read up on our
Community Involvement Guidelines.  Looking to get a form to log hours?  Click here.  Forms are also available in Student Services.

Find Something Meaningful for You

Community groups and organizations need and want your help!  Volunteering is a great way to try something new, meet new people, and helps make you more eligible for scholarships and awards.

Start by asking your parents, friends and teachers for suggestions.  Listen to the daily announcements for opportunities around the school.  You can also check out Volunteer Ottawa to search for opportunities around the city.
