New to Canada?
Consider looking at the Parent's guide to our school system.

The OCDSB's Family Reception Centre is designed to help with the registration of:
•  New students whose primary language is not English
•  New students who have not previously attended school in English
•  Some Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents who have been studying abroad for more than one year
•  Some international students
•  Secondary age students without any school documents (e.g. report cards, transcripts), even if English is their first language, in order to better assist the schools in the placement of these students.

Note: Students who are registering from a French-language school board in Ontario are not required to come to the FRC, and will register directly at their home school.

Note: Children of parents who have a work or study visa - must go to Admissions first.

If your child meets this criteria, please call the Family Reception Centre to begin your registration.
